Last evening, I had a rare oppertunity to sit and listen as a Holocaust survivor shared with us his experience. All I ever heard about the Holocaust was from history books or from movies and to hear about Alexander Lebenstein and his horrific experiences with the way he and his family were treated by the Nazi regime. Most survivors hav either passed away, or are so terrified from their ordeal that they choose not to talk about it. Well, Mr. Lebenstein chooses to share because he wants to educate everyone that is willing to listen and to premote love and peace instead of hate. My life is forever changed because of Alexander and his experiences. May we all treat one another with love, kindness, and respect. Thank you Alexander Lebenstein for your encouraging words. I know that I can be a better, more loving person because of your example. Mr. Lebenstein has written a book about his experience called "The Gazebo." I encourage everyone to obtain a copy and read it. It will open your mind about the Holocaust and what the Jews went through under Nazi control.
